At least somebody gets it. ESPN’s 50 second tribute to the Dodgers, their history and their fans showed that the ownership disaster isn’t about us.
With all the abuse that Dodger fans have taken from media, followers of rival teams and even non-baseball fans with the negative comments, stereotyping, jokes and misinformed jabs at us. So many have not refrained from commenting even though they are simply blind to the actual facts of the bankruptcy and ownership debacle. This isn't about Dodger fans, it's about the current caretaker of the team.
In one 50 second spot, ESPN has succeeded in letting the world know that the fans aren’t at fault. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised to say the least that the network took the few seconds to say so. Thank you to ESPN. (Yes, they do know that there are teams west of the Mississippi!)
