I tweaked the last line from "if you can't hear us, we'll shout a little louder" to "if you can't hear us, drinking'll sure make us louder." To enhance the team spirit, I even created a visual representation by photoshopping a Custom Softball Jerseys with our unique team name, adding a personalized touch to our wine-filled celebrations.
The Latest and Greatest in Sports Guidehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07463212495695759508noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-969719124137500057.post-11285863492001325032021-04-06T00:55:37.302-07:002021-04-06T00:55:37.302-07:00Get EVO9X premium, soft, and highly customizable S...Get EVO9X premium, soft, and highly customizable Sublimated Sports Jerseys in amazing styles, colors, and prints to look and play well in the field. I can't tell you how many times I have looked forward to seeing how teams looked on "throwback uniform day" only to see them sporting the baggy look and long pants with no stirrups.

When I play slow-pitch softball with my team, I'm the only guy sporting stirrups. The old man of the bunch...but they look so cool. I can't get around that look.

Count me in on your point about grooming standards, and also kicking the neighborhood kids off of my lawn too.Evan Bladhhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00882462203403645860noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-969719124137500057.post-34840052010775402242012-12-19T15:58:38.851-08:002012-12-19T15:58:38.851-08:00Count me in Evan. I loved the stirrup look with the socks, jerseys tucked in, pants neat, not to tight but neatly fitting.

Add to that scraggly hair and poorly groomed beards. It isn't hockey. It's baseball played in warm, sometimes very warm weather. Nothing like long scraggly wet hair streaming out under a hat to enhance performance.

Some would argue that all of these changes simply let the players express their individuality. How about expressing a team personality with a neat uniform and player well groomed? We talk about team spirit and chemistry but let the one feature that identifies the player, the uniform, to take on all shapes and forms.

I expect there is a direct correlation with ballooning contracts. That is, the richer the player becomes, the more he seems entitled to dress so sloppily on the field.

Great topic Evan.
